Day 05 / 07

God Is Not Against Me, But He’s In It With Me,
Working through Me, Fighting For me.

I f I told you that God is for you, you probably wouldn’t argue with me. Most of us know that God is with us, but then we get in the middle of a battle and even though we know it, it’s hard to feel it. The middle of a battle is a lonely place. It’s a place where fear can get in and our confidence slowly seeps out. How do you close the doors of fear and remind yourself that God is with you right there in the middle of what you’re facing?

First, you've got to understand that the very nature of God is consistent and unchanging. He's the solid rock, the same yesterday, today, and forever. His intentions toward you are not fickle; they don't shift like shadows or change with the cultural climates. When you're wrestling with the question of whether God is for you, remember that His Word is the weather forecast for your life. It's not about what's happening around you—what you can see with your eyes—it's about what He has spoken over you.

Consider the disciples, sent into a storm by Jesus Himself. It may seem counterintuitive, but Jesus sent them into the storm knowing full well what would happen, to teach them, to grow them, to show them His sovereignty over every situation. He's the master at turning our greatest fears into our greatest faith lessons.  Just like He knew Peter would walk on water and sink before Peter even got into the boat, He knows the end from the beginning in your life.

Remember that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us—a sure sign that God is for us, not against us.

G
od chose you, He called you, and He's for you. Trusting in God's love and plan for your life is like developing any deep relationship—it takes time, commitment, and often a journey through the valleys to appreciate the view from the mountain. One way to deepen this trust is to look back at the times when God's presence was evident in your life. Reflect on those moments when, against all odds, you felt peace in the midst of turmoil, or when you received provision in a time of need. These are the deposits God has made in your life, and they are proof of His presence and power.

Faith is not just about feeling God's love; it's about DECIDING to believe in His love, especially when it's hard to feel. It's about standing firm on the promise that He is working all things for your good, even when the "ship" seems to be breaking apart. It's about praising Him not just when the blessings are flowing, but also when you're standing in the middle of a storm, trusting that He has a plan and purpose for every drop of rain and every gust of wind.

When you're struggling to sense His love tangibly, remind yourself of the truth that God is not just beside you; He lives within you. He has called you and chosen you, not because of your performance but because of His grace. And when you feel like the pressure is too much to bear, remember that God's power is made perfect in weakness. His strength is there to uphold you even when you feel like you can't hold on any longer.

God will fight on your behalf. And if God is for you, no demon or devil, lie or lizard, fear or foe can ultimately prevail against you. He’s on your side. He’s got your back.
